Kristen Anne Bell was born in 1980 and is an American singer and actress. Her birthplace and childhood was in Huntington Woods, Michigan, and is the daughter of Lorelei (Frygier), an RN and Tom Bell, a television news director. She is of Polish (mother's) as well as German (father's), English, Irish and Scottish ancestry. Kristen developed a talent to perform on a young stage. In 1992, Kristen was the first to go to an audition. She got an appearance on Raggedy Ann And Andy. Bell aged 13 when her mother signed to become an agent was also cast in TV and newspaper advertisements. Along with taking private lessons and acting lessons, she started her career around that time. Bell was in a role of minor importance without credit in Polish Wedding (1998), in 1998. Bell was a member of the drama and music groups in Shrine Catholic High School. She won the starring role of Dorothy at her school's play The Wizard of Oz. Bell was a student of in musical theater at the world-renowned Tisch School of the Arts in New York City after graduating. Bell quit university in 2001 and began playing the role of Becky in the film Tom Sawyer. In the same year, she made her first credited debut in Pootie Tang (2001), however her character was deleted and her character was not shown in the credits sequence. Bell appeared on Broadway on Broadway in The Crucible, a revival with Liam Neeson with Angela Bettis.
