Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Taylor is a famous American actress and producer best known for the roles she was on the television series Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist and the television show The Mentalist. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Brown University in African-American Studies. The Tisch School of the Arts, New York University she earned an MFA. Aunjanue L. Ellis is an American actor and producer, who has been involved in the world of film as well as television. She began acting on stage before appearing in mainstream, independent and TV series. She rose to fame as Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico as well as on BET's epic series The Book of Negroes. In both roles, she was praised by critics and received a variety of nominations and awards including an award from the Television Critics Choice Award for the best Actress. In 1995, she was the first to appear as Ariel on the stage in The Tempest. On Broadway she was a part of the cast as a character in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. Film-wise, she's best known for roles such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. She is also well-known for her role on ABC's crime drama High Incident.
