Awkwafina

Awkwafina started out as an American musician and rapper releasing sly tracks that tackled issues such as racial and sexual identities with a funny twist. Before expanding to Hollywood the singer could make a few songs. Born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean immigrant parents in Forest Hills Queens her first encounter with the world of music was through trumpet. In addition to classical and jazz, Nora Lum started studying hip-hop when she was in her teens. In college, she studied the field of women's studies and journalism. In addition, she spent a short time studying Mandarin in Beijing. The focus changed to music only after she completed her degree. After becoming famous on the Internet, her track My Vag was a reaction to the song of Mickey Avalon's My Dick. It eventually was included on her debut album Yellow Ranger. It also included other hit songs that went viral, such as the body-positive Queef and winking hometown tour NYC Bitche$. The latter song was linked directly into another venture Awkwafina's NYC A travel guide that was released in 2015. Alongside having published a book as well, she also worked singing. In addition to early shows like Girl Code, Tawk and Bad Rap she also appeared in movies such as Neighbors to Storks. She had a breakthrough role in the year 2018, with several movies that were highly regarded, such as Dude Ocean's 8 as well as Crazy Rich Asians. The EP came out in June.
