Robyn Rihanna Fenty also referred to as Rihanna by Barbadians is a songwriter and singer. Her hits include Pon de Replay, SOS Umbrella, and Take a Bow. She's a hugely popular performer who has sold over 41 million albums around the world and more than 150 million songs. Barbados was born in Barbados, she initially listened to reggae as she got older and started singing by herself, when she was an teen. Due to the chaos in her home and the fights her parents had, she turned to music. Soon she decided she would like to pursue a career as a performer. In high school she joined a group of musicians and had the opportunity to meet producer Evan Rodgers. He was stunned by her talent. His request was that the teenager relocate in New York and pursue a professional singing career. Rihanna happily accepted. Rihanna quickly became a star after her debut release. Her uplifting songs became top of the charts among teenagers, motivating her into film. She's a young, skilled woman that has grown into a style icon and a popular teenager. Rihanna is also putting her fame to good use, and has been active in many charity causes.
